Let's make a button and spool bouquet...Here is how it is done...I saw this in some magazine and it looked cute and fairly simple...

Use a spool or wooden candle cup for the vase...Preferably let it be wooden...you can paint or stain the spool or cup...If it is a spool you can wrap thread around it...
Then you take regular everyday buttons you have laying around and make flowers out of them...It looks better if you layer them, either 2 or 3 buttons sewn or wired together. Make 3 separate flowers for your spool vase
Then attach a wire for the stem and attach to the button flower.
Cut leaves from felt or heavy paper..Attach to the wire stem.
Glue into the vase and mail off...How fun is that!!! Don't remember the magazine so I can't give a site.

Sign up will end May 15th and Mail out will be June 5th!!
This is something you can go ahead and make and have it ready to mail out. Please do not sign up if you cannot finish the swap.....

Have fun!!!

Hi Debbie :) I received your wonderful bouquet today & it is so cheerful & just GREAT ! You are so very talented, Gals, Debbie used this huge wooden button as the base to the spool & each flower is fabric with button centers. Thank You, I am Blessed to have had you as my partner.

Maddie,

Thank you for my beauuuuuuuutiful button boquet!!! I love it!!!!!!!
When my son comes home, I will ask him to help me post a picture..
Like I told Beth, I wish I was about 5-6 years of age. Children have
a way of grasping on to and remember how to do things high tech. Me.
not so much. LOL!

Farmsisters, my button bouquet is placed inside a ceramic vase that
looks like a little antique shoe. The vase is brown and cream color and you guessed it.. Maddie found a bee to place on the toe of the shoe that is in a bronze brownish color. It is adorable!!!!!!!!
Maddie, you are so talented.

Big Buzz and I were gone longer than we expected. I was so anxious to get home and open your package. I love how you did the button bouquet!
The petals are so intricate. Like I said you are one very talented farmsister.

Your button bouquet is on its way to you friend. Thanks for being patient. I hope you like it. The PO said you should have it by Tuesday.

Thank you again for the beautiful button bouquet!
