You take an old pair of jeans and carefully cut the back pocket off the jeans..LEAVE the back part of the jean attached to the pocket, so when you get it cut off you have a complete pocket..(The pocket being the front and main body of the jean being the back part)

Then you decorate the pocket with all kinds of fun items, flowers, felt pretties, rhinestones or all of the beforementioned. Add a handle, it can be wire or ribbon or fabric. Attach it to the top of the pocket.

When finished it looks like a little purse.....Now fill with 3 items that you think your partner would like...maybe a brooch, or earrings, a cute pen, notecards, vintage hankie, you will know!!

These are so cute hanging in a kitchen or craft room to hold keys or coupons...

Sign up ends March 20th and send out by April 20th!!

Let's have fun..If you sign up, please know, if at all possible, that you will complete the swap.....Smiles

You can never be to kind!

Lainey,
Got your pocket in the mail. You have such beautiful handwriting! I was intrigued before I even opened the envelope. The pocket is very pretty, thanks so much. So much hand beading! It looks like 1920's. I really appreciate it, enjoyed the swap.

Lorrie,

I came home from fishing yesterday, stopped at the mailbox and received the most wonderful package. Your pocket you made is gorgeous, you have a lot of creative talent. And all the gifts inside I love everything you sent. You are a terrific swap partner, hopefully some day we will be teamed up again. The pocket is hanging in my sewing room for now but I'm sure it will be more prominently in the future.

Thank you again for the terrific gifts they definitely made my day.

Karla,

I guess this would be a 'P. S.' to the one I wrote you before, I have been working on your pocket and have it almost finished so hope it will be in the mail this week.

I have been feelin' poorly for over a week now, Dr. said I have walking pnuemonia, all I know is it's all settled in my lungs and it sure has made me feel bad, but that isn't why I am writing some more.
I am writing because you and your farm sisters are just the best. I didn't see the picture of the goats when I originally opened my package. That is a GREAT pic and has brought me so much pleasure since I found it. Every time I look at it I have to grin, I really can't tell you why but those two just make me smile!!! It now has it's place and a special frame and sits where I can see it from where ever I have myself planted during my get well period. Let me also asure you that when I get better I am gonna put it somewhere where I can see it regular too. Great picture!

You probably think I'm nuts, and I am, but I just wanted to let you know that sometimes the smallest thing that makes the biggest bang and I sure have enjoyed the one you sent to me!

What are their names and are they yours?

Thanx again,

Lainey Lou #3848

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we might as well dance.

Hi Deserae, will check in again, you are not kidding let alone the cost also, my husband is a great carpenter, picky and takes so long as a perfectionist that we hired some one and boy is it getting done faster then I thought, and if my husband is pleased with his work then that is great. Our farm house is a 1903 with a new barn already when we purchased so that was a plus and the attached building to house needed work. Our house we sold in ma was a 43 year project and did not want to go thru that again.

Hello Jill, I will check my PO box when I go through town on Friday. Most of my mail that I try sending to the farm gets re-routed to my other address in town. Our postal service is a little on the slow side here but they do a great job. I am thinking of you in your remodel process. My family and I have restored one 1925 home and are still woking on the 1900. What a process! I hope everything is going as planned for you. It takes a lot of work, time and love!

Take Care,

Deserae
