Posted - Feb 01 2012 : 2:42:20 PMThis is an easy to make swap - a Braided Yarn Octopus. It is NOT crochet. If you don't know what one is - do a google image search for braided yarn octopus or yarn octopus. You use either a styrofoam ball or a ball of yarn to make the head. The arms are braided yarn strands. Then you can 'decorate' it any way you wish!
1.Sign-ups begin now and end Feb 6th. To sign up, post on this forum thread. 2.I will post a list of partners on Feb 7th. You must email your partner(s) and exchange names & addresses by Feb 13th. 3.Mail out deadline is Feb 29th. 4.Octopus leg length should be at least 8" or longer. 5. If you need ideas, do a google images search or see tutorials on youtube.
