3.Mail out deadline is Feb 29th.
4.Body of doll should be 3”-5” (not counting the loop on top of head or beads hanging below).
5. Doll can be made from and decorated with any materials. (fabric, felt, beads, etc) There is no theme for Feb.
6. If you need ideas, do a google images search or see tutorials on youtube.

I received my adorable Dotee from Carol. It is amazing how each Dotee takes on its own personality! She is beautiful, I smile each time I look at her. I took her to work to hang with the rest of the collection, people are starting to ask about them.

Just had to pop on and share this Dotee that I made for myself tonight. I am suppose to be
working on an Adoption Dotee but I have had this one on my mind and heart for a couple of weeks.
So had to do her first. This is my "Ganmama" Dotee. That is what my two grand-daughters call me.
So she represent me. I was so pleased with how she turned out....I had to share. I think I may need
Therapy girls. I am turning into a Dotee Junky. LOL

Here is "Madame Butterfly" that I made for Beth Jones. The backside picture won't post
for some reason but oh well, the front is the pretty side.
Glad that you got her Beth and yes, I do draw the face myself. In fact...I use the same face
on all my dotee's because I am not very artistic. I made that face on Angels that I use to sell
so, I hoped it would look cute on the Dotees too. Some times I do use buttons for the eyes...so
they look open.
Hey, how did you like my repurposed mailing envelope? LOL That was
so cute (Beth had made it and shipped my dotee in it) I just had to
reuse it. Very happy looking pkg to recieve in the mail (I know)lol
Hope you enjoy her...she was made just with "YOU" in mind.

Brenda...my mom got her Dottee and she loves it! I haven't seen it yet but she said its a cute bitty Dottee! Yours will be on it's way soon...I just have to pick something up for her as she doesn't get to town much!

what do you think?
I have this big bulletin board hanging above my crafting table in my office/crafting nook.
Both the Hearts and the Dotee's make me smile!!!

I don't want to take credit for something I did not do. I did not do any of the embroidery. Everything else was done by hand but not the embroidery. I am a firm believer in repurposing. She is made from all repurposed items. Her body was once an embroidered cocktail dress. The beads were once jewlery pieces that I took apart and reused. The ribbon and ribbon roses were purchased at a yard sale. Her face is from a piece of a wool sweater that I found at a yard sale then washed in hot water to felt it. Even the thread is purchased second hand. I usually find cross stitch kits at Goodwill for .29 to .59. Most have never been opened. I find that repurposing allows me to enjoy crafting for about a tenth of the cost and I feel good that I am decreasing my 'carbon footprint'.

Hello :) Today I received my Clair Rose, made so lovingly by Victoria. Ladies this is Victoria's first Dotee. She is so beautifully made. She has bead work as well as embroidery all over her. The picture I took does not do her justice, she is a beauty to behold. Victoria also included a real birth certificate, made out to me :) Needless to say I LOVE HER !!!! Thank You Victoria
