After the holiday rush, I feel let down sometiimes. So, to cure the after holiday blahs, lets begin to think about Valentine's Day!!

It will be here before you know it and this will give you plenty of time to search and prepare your wonderful button box with buttons!!
Now, here are the directions:
Dress up an egg carton to reflect Valentine's Day at it's finest...All paper, flowers and bows, you know, like the romantics of long ago. Then in each of the 12 places, include a lovely button!
Easy, but here is the catch....The button needs to be ornate, not the plain, round, flat ones with 2 or 4 holes in them. They need to be romantic, with sparkles or rhinestones or ornate ones. There are buttons out there that are beautiful (in craft stores, vintage stores, or from your own button jar!) This should be a fun swap...I collect buttons and love the uniqueness of each one. They are like little works of art and they don't take up a lot of room!!
Plenty of time to get yours and beautifully decorate your egg carton!!
Go ahead and start thinking of how and what to decorate with!!
Sign up ends January 3rd~~~~~~~~~~~~~Mail out January 25th!!!
This will give everyone time to find their buttons, decorate their cartons and mail out to their partners, before the big day!!!

Jessi Lynn thank you for my button box filled with buttons. I love the way the dotted feathers look with all of the pretty flowers! This swap was fun....like getting a little valentines treasure chest!
I have a picture waiting to be uploaded, but for some reason I keep getting an error message in the upload box. Will try again in a bit.

Connie, Connie, Connie, I opened my buttons and decorated box today and was stuck by Cupids arrow!! The box was lovely and I so enjoyed looking at each of the wonderful buttons!! I am doing a keepsake binder off all the fabric that I use in swaps and just pretty fabric and make pages from the pieces...Then i am going to include a page that has all my beautiful buttons i have....The ones that you gave me will certainly by on that page..And then when I'm off in the nursing home..I can look thru my book and remember (hopefully) all the sweet folks and swaps I met and participated in....thank you again for being such a great swaper on MJF!!!!! Smiles...Beth

and Madeline...Yes those are little silk velvet cushions and the buttons are lightly loop stitched on just for travel.

Kimberley, OH MY GOSH>>>>>> your adorable button box arrived today and I have to say, I squeeled when I saw it. I absoloutley LOVE it... and all the treasures inside. Thank you so much. I need to figure out how to post the pics on this site . Its photo worthy for sure.
This has been so FUN. Oh, the buttons are adorable, will find a home on a few of my homemade purses for sure. Happy Valentines . I've been so sick lately that it picked me right up.

Hi Pam , I got box today and it is be-a-ut-i-ful. The paper, lace,the heart ,roses on the top and inside top I just love it. And the buttons are wonderful I just love them,this has been such a fun swap.
And no i didnt forget that chocolate (Ghiradellie)Oh ,that is being hidden in my bedroom because we're having company and that all I have say about that.Ha ha.

I received the most beautiful button box! What a keeper, I did take pictures but my computer totally crashed so is not usable. It is pink with lace wrapped around it and had sets of buttons that were beautiful and chocolate candys. and each button was wrapped in a quote. How neat and thanks so much.

Thank you Emily, we do!! we lost 2 in 1 month, both 18 years old! Annie you box is beautiful, so was Beth's, I would love to see more pics, this was my first time with an egg carton and I thought, waht is this gonna look like, and they are all Goregous, I will use mine for a jewelry Box,cause I don't have one!
