1.Sign-ups begin now and end Nov 10th. To sign up, post on this forum thread.
2.When you sign up, please request 1 or more partners. If you do not indicate how many, I’ll assume you want to swap with 1 partner.
3.I will post a list of partners on Nov 11th. You must email your partner(s) and exchange names & addresses by Nov 18.
4.Mail out deadline is Nov 30th.
5.Body of doll should be 3”-5” (not counting the loop on top of head or beads hanging below).
6. Doll can be made from and decorated with any materials. (fabric, felt, beads, etc)
7. If you need ideas, do a google images search or see tutorials on youtube.
8. Sorry if I forgot anything, this is my first time to host. If this swap goes well, I’d be willing to host it again!

thank you Peggy..It was my first time ever making a Dotee Doll..Never heard of them until I saw this swap. How cute and how exciting it is making one. Why I made the snowflake one is , thought came to make a snowflake because it was snowing hard outside. UM....what I will make this time around we will see. Anyone interested it is lots of fun and brings sunshine in my heart when I see a package in my mail box from a farmgirl sister...

I am not in this Swap but so enjoyed looking at your Dotee Dolls...I wasn't even sure what they were, but
oh my how cute!!!! They were all so adorable...but loved loved loved the Snowflake one by Debra Swan.
Might have to give this swap a try sometime. Looks like fun! *See, why it is important to post pictures girls*

Emily so glad you got it and like it. It was so much fun to make. It was snowing the day I made her. Thats what gave me the idea to make a snowflake Dotee Doll.

Mel, she is a cutie! I like all of the different materials being used in the projects i'm seeing, like the yarn used around her face and loop. It looks very fitting for an Inuit girl. And I like how her hood is off to one side with the beads hanging down. Very creative, Trish.

Hi Deb! I actually recieved my dotee doll this past weekend. Didn't want to post until I could snap a picture of her so everyone could see, and I just found the cord for my camera after I misplaced it while moving! Yay!
Her name is Snowflake and she's so cute! Such a happy face, love the material and the super cute plastic "snowflake" type decoration around her face! Thank you so much!

Has everyone sent out their Dotee dolls to their partners? The mail out deadline was yesterday.
Does anyone want to do a Dotee doll swap for Dec? Or should I wait until Jan to host another one?

Ohioann, I received my wonderful "Queen bee" today. she is just the most wonderfulist ever!!!! made up my own new word there!!! I just love her and the bees wax. I use that all the time for sewing. Thank you for it... She is just the best!!! I would like to do another swap like this too!!!
