Posted - Sep 07 2011 : 10:14:25 AM I am new to this but how about a Christmas card swap. Take however many partners you like-make a Christmas card for them to use & get one back. We each get different style Christmas cards to use for this year. Does this make sense? How about we end the sign up on October 31 & have cards sent out by November 30 so that the recipient can mail them out in time for Christmas.

Posted - Dec 07 2011 : 3:38:54 PM I loved your "Noel" postage stamp Christmas card Catherine that arrived in yesterday's mail. It is so pretty and such nice detail with the little cardinal bird and leaves with berries on the tree branch. Thank you so much!

Posted - Dec 07 2011 : 08:40:18 AM Phyllis and Toni, glad you liked the cards! I have 2 others out there, hope they arrive soon. Toni, I have a little mechanical embosser called a Cuttlebug, bought for a song and dance a few years back. I really don't use it enough! You can put card sized sheets of paper through it in different embossing folders, it sort of squishes the paper into whatever shape that folder has. I hope I am making sense! It's really great for adding that extra dimension to hair i think. But I am bad in remembering to USE it often enough. It can really make layered paper piecings pop. I have often glued a piece down only to then think, gosh I should have used some embossing on that.

Posted - Dec 06 2011 : 10:04:44 AM I received from Urban Chickie yesterday. Thank you, Catherine. It's a beautiful card. And thanks for the tip on the patina.
Is anyone else having trouble letting go of their beautiful cards? I want to keep all of them instead of sending them out.
