Posted - Sep 25 2011 : 5:07:21 PM Hey Ladies, I have mixed morning glory seeds, a hardy mix of pink, purple, and bright blue. We plant and save these from year to year. Also I have Friendship Vine seeds, sometimes called Hummingbird Vine. It's a very prolific climber with fern like leaves, and small bright red flowers size of nickels and quarters. I would love to trade for seeds. Andrea |

Posted - Sep 04 2011 : 12:19:15 PM Email me your address and let me know what seeds you would like and I can get them out to you this week! Go ahead and send me some colorful flowers. My house is light blue and we only have some hosta's up near the house. We have a few irises by the drive way and some more hostas by the horse shed which is red. I'd like to remove the hostas by the horse shed and move them on the other side of the garden and plant by my bench outside to make a pretty area overlooking my garden. Then since I have a light blue house I'd love to plant a variety of colorful flowers to make somewhat of a cottage/butterfly garden that looks nice and not messy. I did plant some blue lupine seeds this year but of course they won't flower until next year so it will be interesting to see if they come up for me in the spring. Anyway let me know, thanks!

Cockscomb is called celosia. (People can find the seeds if they have the botanical name.)
Have hope in your heart, and darkness has no home. |

Posted - Sep 01 2011 : 10:08:06 AM OK, I FINALLY got to get to my extra seeds that I have this year: If you or anyone else is interested in trading let me know! I'm looking for flowers, any kind from bulbs to seeds because my house needs more color!
Here is what I have: Red Fig heirloom tomato (Indeterminate) Walla Walla Onion seed Long Island Improved Brussels Sprouts Heirloom variety Rosso Sicilian heirloom tomato (determinate) Lettuce Mix from Pinetree seeds 3 seeds left for Bennings Green Tint patty pan squash (heirloom) St. Valery heirloom carrot White Albino Beet German Beer Radish aka Munchen Bier (it's a German winter heirloom radish) Heirloom Long Cayenne hot pepper Monster Bell green pepper Rossa Bianca heirloom eggplant Cape Daisy (I didn't like them that is why I didn't plant them) Delicious Tomato (not an heirloom, but I didn't care for how they grew in my garden, it didn't get hot enough here for them I think) Dills Atlantic Giant pumpkin (again, didn't get hot enough and don't have enough room for them) Paprika pepper Sbanach Spinach (a spinach variety from Galilee but again, didn't grow well here up in the north) Jade Bush bean A few North Carolina Watermelon seeds (not hot enough again) a few North Carolina Giant Cantaloupe seeds (again, too far up north)
Also have a few Northern Xtra Sweet Bicolor corn seeds left they mature in 67 days, super sweet corn just had some extra left over from my garden this year. I do have some Mandan Bride corn seeds too that I have double the amount I will plant next year if anyone is interested in that corn too.
I really would love tulips, lilies, hyacinths, sunflowers, wildflowers, lupine, no hostas (have too many of those) morning glories, 4 o'clocks, etc seeds or bulbs. Let me know! Again, sorry it took me so long to get back to you! The fair is over with now and I finally had the chance to get to my gardening stuff! Thanks!

Posted - Aug 24 2011 : 05:17:44 AM Hi girls, I'm looking for what used to be called "cockscomb" It is a deep red velvety ruffled top and a stalk like stem.....It growns in clumps or groups and you can save the seed from year to year....I used to grow it all the time then moved and lost my seeds. It is grown in the south in beds and in pots. Thanks if anyone can help me locate some!! Smiles, Beth
