I saw this on another blog and thot it was cute. It was something that I thot the farmgirls might like to do also....
It is called a Mug rug...sort of like a dish drainer quilt, but a lot smaller.

The rug will be about 6 inches wide and 9 inches long..It will room enough for a mug of coffee or tea and a few cookies for a snack. You know we need our nourishments when we are crafting!!
Quilted, sewn, or hand sewn will be fine. I don't know how these would do being crocheted..I did not see any crocheted.
The ones I saw looked like a tiny quilt.
You will have one partner and the sign up date ends August 19th
Send out will be September 25th

Elizabeth, your package arrived today!! A whole box a tea just for me... I am in heaven! The rugs are beautiful and the cup is oh so cute, they will get much use.. I think my daughter might cabbage off with the lighter cream one. Thank you for your kindness; you made my day!!

Red tractor girl- I think your package got eaten by the mail carrier. I have heard some of my packages have not gotten to where I sent them and so I have just been making new things to resend. I am so sorry you never got it, especially because mine was so awesome!!! I should have come on here sooner to see if there was anything written! It being fall and all that I have not been on here at all. I am off to sew yo another mug rug! I will send it Tues as that will give me time to sew and send

My partner Angela (farmallgrl) received the mug rug I sent her. I'm telling you instead of her because she had damage from the floods and still has no internet or phone. Please keep her in your prayers as she goes through this difficult time.

Here are the Mug Rugs I received from Debtea2.
Two of them have a little lavender in them. Smells nice when the coffee mug warms it up.

Thank you for my Mug Rug. It is beautiful!!!
I love the colors, white, yellow and black.
My craft room (in the process of being painted
is in yellow, white trim and black furniture.)
My mug rug is going to look beautiful on my desk.
Thank you also for the tea and my 1960 crochet book.
I am really enjoying looking at the book.
Ladies, I wish you could see how beautiful everything is.
I will be mailing yours out on Monday. I have just a few
extra touches to do and it will be on its way to you.
Time for me to scoot along and fix myself a cup of that wonderful
