Posted - Mar 06 2011 : 08:49:57 AM It has been my wonderful privilege to host the RAOK (Random Acts of Kindness) Group, but I need to bow out of the group for awhile. Life is getting in the way. I'm sure ya'll know how that happens from time to time. I am looking for a farmgirl who is interested in becoming your new swap mamma. The new list is not due out till May or June, should you decide to keep it on the current schedule.
If you are new and have questions about our RAOK Group or becoming the swap mamma: The RAOK stands for Random Acts of Kindness. The swap mamma/group hostess compiles the list of participants, then emails a copy of the list to all who've signed up. Currently the list is updated twice a year.
As for rules to participate in the RAOK: 1 We ask that you post in the RAOK Gifts Received thread when you receive a RAOK gift or card 2 We ask that you be an active participant on the boards at MJF Now the new swap mamma may choose to change these rules
As for what to send and when to send: There are no rules to this. You send whatever to whomever whenever you like. There are a lot of farmgirls on this list, so please don't let it intimidate you. This is a really fun way of being able to give and to enjoy the blessings of giving and a great way to get to know your sisters a little better.
If you have any other questions about the RAOK or becoming our new hostess, please either email me or post in this thread.
To the current RAOK farmgirls: Will you please take me off your lists. I was trying to get back in the swing of things, but I'm just not going to be able to stick with it. The house remodel is in full swing now, my honey and I are going to get married this year (maybe just a small couthouse wedding) and I'm giving some serious thought to homeschooling my kiddos. Now hopefully when things get a little more back to normal, I will be able to participate again. I have faith that we will find an amazing new swap mamma. Someone who will be perfect for the job. (I'm not going to disappear completely. I'll still be around MJF. Ya'll sure help a girl stay sane.)
Love you all! Hugs~ Melanie

Posted - Mar 14 2011 : 7:13:09 PM Debbie, Take a look at Melanie's original post here and it might help answer some of your questions. You can send as many as you want as often as you want. It is totally up to you and what you want to do. I don't recall how many are on the list . . I'll have to look. And I'll be putting it out there for updates for May. And, feel free to ask any further questions you might have that don't get answered. Thanks! CJ
