Posted - Feb 11 2011 : 6:31:08 PM Hi ladies!
I'm new here, so I hope I am posting in the right place. Last year I planted ornamental poppy and have tons of seeds (Seeds are mixed. Colors are white, yellow, red, pink and some are multi and some are doubles!) I also have some pretty blue Persian Jewels and red with white centers Columbine. I was hoping that I could swap my seeds for some heirloom tomato seeds (especially brandywine as they do rather well here). I would definately be open to just about anything. I would like to start a few things indoors pretty soon and would love to swap some seeds.

Posted - Mar 21 2011 : 7:08:49 PM I had a couple of Cucuzzi Italian Climbing Squash that took over my garden last year. I have a ton of seeds from the harvest, and a couple of spiffy birdhouses my daughter made out of the large gourds if anyone is interested. |

Posted - Feb 27 2011 : 5:30:31 PM HI,
I am still putting envelopes together. Cecily yours is in the mail, so is Star's and Lisa. I am going down the list and will try and get some to everyone who has asked for them.
It has been an unbelievable week - grandkids, sick uncle, sick son! I also got orders for 4 tutus, which is great but time consuming!
Hang in there if you are waiting for seeds from me. I promise to get them to you.
Looking forward to spring and planting too!

Posted - Feb 27 2011 : 4:02:57 PM What seeds do you have left? I have many to swap. I loved the story you shared about your dad. My dad loved pansies, he always said they looked like they had smiling faces. Can't look at a pansy without thinking of him and he has been gone many years. Let me know if you have anything left to trade and I will let you know what I have (some ex: columbinies- they cross bred and have about 12 colors, lupine, mallow to mention a few). Blessings, Columbine

Posted - Feb 22 2011 : 1:51:39 PM Hi Alexis,
I'm so glad that you received the seeds. Don't worry about how the seeds are packaged. I was bored and I have a lot of crafting supplies, so I thought, why not make some seed packets. I'm glad that you like them. I hope that you Uncle is ok. Stay WARM.

I will try to get the rest of the seeds in the mail this week. I babysat the grandkids this weekend - they stayed overnight. Then my Uncle went in the hospital, then it snowed (a lot) and...
Will try and get them out by the end of the week.

Posted - Feb 22 2011 : 1:28:05 PM Holly,
I just received my package of beautiful seeds. It was like getting a wonderful present. Thank you so much. I am embarrassed that I just popped my seeds in a plastic bag and put them in the mail and then I received these beautiful packages of flowers.
I can't wait to put them in pots in my kitchen and watch them grow.
The packaging is just so special.

Posted - Feb 17 2011 : 11:47:50 AM Alexis, I'm so sorry that you lost your dad. Mine passed 20 years ago (young and sudden), and y'know, somehow he's with me every day. I keep him alive in small ways, like telling my kids about him and yes, through my garden. We're actually not that far apart (being in PA), but I would be honored to spread your "little treasures" here in my garden. I've actually always wanted forget-me-nots! will email---- L
ps - Holly, I'll check my seeds for tomato. I have to get past the snow and melting muck first. Will let you know... L |

Posted - Feb 16 2011 : 10:51:47 AM Hi Alexis,
I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Your story is so touching and I would love to plant and nurture some Forget-me-nots in my garden. Interesting how we women 'know' some things before they happen, isn't it? And how lovely for an insurance company, of all things, would reach out and show a bit of compassion. Emailing you now.

Posted - Feb 16 2011 : 09:48:13 AM I have some Forget-me-not flower seeds that I would love to swap with someone. These are especially personal to me and it would be nice to share them here.
Here is the story behind it. My father died Jan. 97. It was very sudden and really put me in a major depression. I was responsible for his funeral, cleaning out the house, selling the house and getting the headstone. I was doing this while working 60 hours a week. Finally in June I told my boss I needed some time off. The house sold, the headstone was in and I was really sad. One day I went to the mailbox and found a letter from his insurance company. I thought one more thing! Honestly, as soon as I touched the evnvelope I thought of flowers. My dad loved to garden. I dont know why but I knew even before I picked it up that it had flower seeds in it. It was the Forget-me-nots - no bill just the flower seeds from the insurance company almost 7 months after he died. I took this as a sign (amoung others) that my dad was fine and happyand I should let go of my grief. I have nutured those seeds from one pack in to a couple of grocery bag full which I plant every year.
If anyone would like some drop me an email. It would be nice to have them spread around the country.
Alexis
