Howdy, Farmgirl Sisters!

Let your inner child out to play with this Victorian Christmas stocking swap!!!

The Victorians filled stockings according to this poem:

"Something to eat,
Something to read,
Something to play with,
Something they need."

Fill your partner's stocking according to those four items. Ask her what her fave candy is, fave reading genre (could even be a cool magazine),her fave toy as a kid (could be a miniature doll, teddy, bag o' marbles, truck, etc.), and something that she needs (lip balm, mittens, etc.)

The sign-up deadline is November 20.
Please mail out by DECEMBER 1st.

Have fun, and be creative!!!! ;D <3

Thank you for letting me know! I am so glad and will remember in future you don't like chocolate, hoping I will be lucky and have you as a partner in future swaps and that you do like pincushions. Happy New Year!

Linda Your package arrived in this mornings mail! Better late than never I guess. Since I don't like chocolate, I will pass the tiny box on to someone who does. I will read the book and report back to you since you don't know anything about it. The ornaments I will pack up for next year. The chicken pin cushion, I will treasure as I collect pin cushions and have a larger version of the same. Happy New Year

Margo, got my stocking today, You actually got me a Barbie !! she gave me and my sisters many hours of play when we were kids, I still have my 1960's doll. I love everything, Debbie Macomber is a fav of mine, and the bubble bath will feel sooo good.
Your stocking is coming, I am strapped financially for this week but will get my packages to the post office
thank you very much

I haven't heard you've received your package. I will get a replacement to you. Probably won't get it put together and mailed till next week. I'm sorry about this, another item I mailed the same day didn't get to it's destination. Can't complain, only one item ever misplaced-ever-and now I have 2 gone a stray. Happy New Year to all.

LindaJo --- No, nothing came in the mail today. I'll be sure to comment as soon as I get my hands on it!
The potato soup is cause that's what Idaho is famous for - potatoes!
And I knew you'd love the Shiny Brite ornaments - under $10 at the local thrift store. Those were my favorites, too!
I'll post when the mail arrives.

Anna-box arrived today. I was treated royaly! Anna sent a beautiful red and green stocking-I like the traditional red and green of Christmas-and filled it with wonderful things. Potatoe soup-my favorite, I'll share that with a friend or two for a holiday get together. A Christmas mug with a matching saucer an old fashion Christmas scene on it. Small ornaments in a vintage box I'm going to display them in the box. A white Santa with a Christmas tree and a book from her favorite author. What a treat Anna, thank you. Merry Christmas!

I'd love to round out the party - please include me!
If this is a Victorian swap, then all items should be of the past, correct? This could be great fun antiquing lip balm!
