Hi Girls, I was thinking about in my early marriage when money was even tighter than it is now...I made Christmas Trees from large pine cones, spray painted them green and found tiny ornaments to decorate them. I would glue the pine cone to a small piece of wood and it would be so cute! I was wondering with all the access we have to things now days, glue guns and such, would there be any interest in doing these?
We could even do trees with a farm girl theme if your partner would like that..Or just decorate like Christmas is to you.
Below, I have listed sources to purchase the things to complete the tree very inexpensively. Oh, and don't forget ebay...
At Joann's or Michaels, you can get the wooden piece to mount the pinecone. They are about one dollar or less.
At Hobby Lobby, Joanns, Michaels, there are tiny ornaments that you can usually get for 40% off at this time of year or print off a coupon.
Pine Cones can usually be found for that wonderful price, Free!!
Spray paint at Dollar General, etc us usally $1.00 a can.

Yes I received my Decorated Pinecone when I came home from the hospital. It is GORGEOUS!!!! How creative of you to use a cup for a stand for my tree. My family really likes it to. It has a found a very special place to sit this holiday season. On my fireplace mantel.
When I returned home from the hospita, I found the pinecone I made for you disconnected from its base. I will have to come up with another plan for a base. I wil get it in the mail to you on Tuesaday or Wednesday. I loved the tags. I hung them on my tree. BEAUTIFUL!!!
I hope you will like your pinecone as well.

Greaaaat. I feel like a complete idiot. I have to back out. I cannot find a single pine cone...no lie. The region of Germany I am in apparently doesn't have evergreen trees. We just have tons and tons of chestnuts. :( Sorry ladies.
