You are so very creative. I got your thank you card today and it is beautiful. You do great work. Thank you again for the ornament you made me and for the thank you note.
Take care.

No need to apologize Annette, it is the busiest time of the year after all! I was just worried because she had sent me such a beautiful ornament and quite frankly I felt kind of silly making it! But we try very hard not to go to the city this time of year & I had just returned from a long trip that didn't involve the oppotunity to shop, so I am limited until I get to the city. Then it occurred to me that unless you live in a fishing village, this isn't normal so what the heck! Wish I could have sent you live ones for Christmas!

Oggie/Ginny, I so apologize! I meant to post on Friday that she received your package; I got caught up in house chores and forgot; I do hope you can forgive me.
You are so inventive!! Peachie absolutley LOVES your ornament.. she wasn't sure what to think of it at first but after opening it out of the ziplock and seeing that it was indeed a REAL lobster tail she just could not get enough.. she even made sure her older brothers took notice. She is very impressed with your use of resources and the history you included in your card. Thank you thank you!
Ladies, Ginny used a real lobster tail with juniper and blueberries tucked in... plentiful resources in her area.. if you ate a blueberry muffin today its likely the berries came from Ginny's neck of the world.. cool huh?
I will try to get a pic posted soon

Did Peachy get her ornament from me? I know it's nothing anyone would expect and I hope it arrived safe and sound. I live 100 miles to the nearest craft store, so I become very inventive with what's around me. :) I just want to make sure she got it and it wasn't broken, otherwise I will make something different and send out.

I am so glad you like it Nini! The velvet is really an easy technique, the hard part is finding the right velvet. My source had greatly limited colors now, so when my stash is gone I am not sure what I'll do! I think I forgot to tell you that you can dust the wreath real easy using canned air. I do that with mine every year before I store it away for the season. Enjoy!

Oh, Catherine! I absolutely LOVE the wreath you made for me! I have seen that velvet technique on craft shows and have always wanted to try! Oh my gosh! It's SO beautiful! Girls - she made this gorgeous wreath for me out of velvet pointsettias! I will post pictures later tonight - I promise! I just didn't want another moment to go by without thanking you for this absolutely BEAUTIFUL gift! I will treasure it always! Hugs - Nini

Diana - Did you get the ornament I sent out? There were a couple swap packages that I mailed over a week ago and I'm afraid they may be lost in the black hole of the post office. Please let me know if it did not arrive so I can make another ornament for you.

I would love to send you some of our snow! Even today, three days later, our trees are so heavy they are bent over to the ground and none of the snow seems to fall off any of them so it looks like it did immediately after it stopped! (well, we have the sun out now at least). Thanks for letting me know how Jaiden did it. My hubby said to just take Gorilla glue on it AFTER I had painted it so I'm glad I mentioned it!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Ginny, we are glad you recieved your ornament; Jaiden and I were both afraid the PO would smash it flat. It was super simple to make: 50/50 water and glue mixture(causes the crack effect), white paint, a napkin seperated to single ply and semi gloss varnish. A stronger or weaker water glue solution changes the cracking thickness.
I am positive you will not disappoint her with your ornament, she is very thankful that she had the chance to participate with us; And she appreciates the hard work we all put into our swap items.

You can send some of your snow here.. its too dern cold to not have snow and we have not had a single flake worth writing about.

MamaShaw, please let Peachie know I received her ornament on Saturday and I LOVE IT! I am always so surprised at how creative everyone is here! I can't wait to get our tree up now to put it on! And I can't wait to try making something in the same medium now that I have seen it. We had a huge snow storm and I'm behind on things but mine is going out this week to her and I hope I don't disappoint her. For everyone else, here is a pic! Thank you again!

Linda, I hope none of them broke on the way out there. I wrapped them pretty good. They are glass balls and I just used tissue paper and Mod Podge. I am making some for us too. And the grands are helping make some. I think they are so pretty. I'm glad you like them.

Teresa! Thank you sooooo much for the ornament! I put it next to my beloved Uncle's (it's felt as well), and the chocolates and the candle and the beautiful Christmas Card. You really made my day after a crazy week at the office. PS: How did you get your ornament to smell like ginger!
