Posted - Oct 29 2010 : 11:49:45 AM ****Annemary**** So after I retrieved your package from the bushes (thank you for emailing me to see if I'd rec'd it - who knows how long it would've stayed there!) I found no water damage inside and with a smile on my face, am enjoying it's contents. I Love the candle scent, the note paper is delightful, the ribbon tied candy bag is festive, I adore the tea towel (it's soo classy) and who can't use a clean potholder?! You can't believe how excited I was to get bottlecaps (two of them are new to my collection) Thank you, dear Anne, you are very thoughtful & giving - especially when you are so busy at home. Happy Fall!!! |

Posted - Oct 01 2010 : 3:05:55 PM Hi Deborah, Got the package late last night and sat down today to open it... Thank you soo much! How wonderful it was, the yellow confetti with little Halloween cut outs made it so much fun to open. Cooler weather is returning this weekend, perfect time to bake the pumpkin bread and light that wonderful fall votive you sent. How adorable are the cookie cutters and little ramekin? Cant wait to use the little kaleidoscope to look at the fall leaves, I think it will be really pretty. Going to share the candy corn with the family, I have never had cider flavored, so cant wait to try it. And the little felt candy corn frame was a riot. Thank you so much for the fun. Let me know when your arrives, hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoyed mine. R

Posted - Sep 30 2010 : 4:32:29 PM Kris, What a wonderful day we had yesterday - spending time together, opening special wrapped packages of all sorts of Fall decorating goodies - turkey salt and pepper shakers, gourd salt and pepper shakers, pretty Fall Placemats - perfect for our Cabin room and harvest table. I Love the dish cloth you made for me, beautiful table runner, not sure which table that is going on yet, candles that smell yummy, two different little jack-o-lanterns, both adorable. I have the scarecrow welcome sign on my island in the kitchen, greeting all that enter! Thanks for the tasty apples, I made fried apples for dinner tonight - delish! I forgot to give you the little basket they were in! We had a fun little side trip to my friend Liz's to pick pears and get a tour of her lovely old homestead Hugs, Ruth

Posted - Sep 30 2010 : 09:52:28 AM Hi Linda! Oh my GOSH - do I love your gifts! Thank you SO so SO much! I especially love that you made everything - you are SO talented! I will surely treasure them for years to come! The apron is ADORABLE and is already hanging on a peg in my kitchen with the potholders set - ready for use at dinnertime tonight! I also love the gathering bag - when not in use, it, too, will be hanging on a peg filled with some dried florals, and I'll probably grab it from time to time to carry snacks or my books when we're out and about! I love it - so cute! And the washcloths you knit for me - oh! I absolutely NEEDED them - I am so grateful! And you coordinated everything so beautifully! They are the perfect autumn accents for my green and white kitchen!!! Thank you! You're a peach!!! Please do stay in touch! Hugs - Nini

Posted - Sep 30 2010 : 12:28:08 AM Barbara, my special November day is the 30th. I got a real chuckle out of the little bag in my box with the clue that said, "Be a Queen on your birthday". Inside was my very own crown, among other things. Too funny and I shall wear it on that day! :-) I'm still opening bags but everything is wonderful!! Thanks again.
I agree that this was a great swap, Kristin. How nice that you were able to get together with your swap partner. That was special.

Posted - Sep 29 2010 : 7:07:11 PM I just have to say this was about the funnest swap I have done in awhile. I really had fun finding things for my swap partner Ruth. And I got to go see her in Epworth today to bring her box of goodies to her. It was a beautiful drive along the Ocoee River. I spent the day with her going around to thrift stores and apple orchards and a wonderful German bakery that was closed but she knew the owner and he was there and let us in. And we had a really good lunch too which she treated me to.
So she has a beautiful home. And a sewing room. She had the most beautiful apron hanging on the door that she had made. I have never seen such an apron before. And she made it. And she said it was for me! It's got farm animals all over. It's a full apron. I love it. I hope she can post a picture of it. She also made a pretty leaf pot holder. And she also had a basket of goodies. Apple butter, pear butter, gardener's soap, a cute book mark made with beads, a personal planner calendar, a beautiful square glass pendant necklace. Oh my goodness, It was great. All wrapped up like Christmas. That's what it felt like. Ruth, thank you so much for everything. But the pot holder and that apron. My goodness. Oh, also a pretty trivet-plaque on a stand.
Thank you for a great swap, Ruth. I so enjoyed the day with you. You are amazing!
Kris
