Hey ya'll farmgirls, Do you ever get tired of the same side dishes at our holiday meals.....???? Well then, Let's have a side dish recipe swap.

This one will be easy......Think of your favorite side dish that you like to serve on Thanksgiving and write it down. You will swap one recipe with one farmgirl....To make it fun, decorate the piece of paper you send in an autumnal way....
The paper with the recipe on it can be any size but for fun let's decorate with drawings, scrapbooking paper, magazine collage, or stickers.....

Let's finish signing up by Sept. 30th and send our recipes along with the art work out by October 21st..

Liz, Want to know something funny. I received mail art from another Liz on Friday from CT, also. I do that swap, too. Two Liz's from CT. She sent recipes, too. I had to really stop and think about who was who! So confusing. By the way, love the turkey.

Melanie,
I hope you like the receipe. It's funny, growing up my family never did sweet potatoes, it wasn't untill I was married that my hubby asked me to make them and I think they've been part of our Thanksgiving ever since!

chick-chick,

Received your recipe on Friday. Funny, we both sent sweet potato recipes!. What's Thanksgiving without sweet pots??? My family loves them any time. I will certainly make this recipe a part of this year's celebration. Thank you.

So sorry to have not let you know I got your recipe a long time ago Karla but with harvesting our garden, making goodies for bunnies, work, and a death in the family, I simply forgot.

It sounds YUMMY!!!! When I read it I thought to myself, she must be from the midwest, we cook our sweet potato's similar and since I'm going to the folks this year and doing all the cooking I am making this! Thank you, Ginny (Oggie)

Jill...See you are the Queen of recipes! That is amazing! Where do you get all those things you use? I've looked all over and don't see any of this. Amazing!

Carole,
Your package arrived today and I am amazed! I can't wait to get into the kitchen and start cooking. Everything looks so yummy. Thank you also for the beautiful Thanksgiving card. You really made my day. I am working on your recipes again tonight. I am sorry, I am down to the wire on this one I am afraid. (Having too much autumn fun on these lovely days!) I will let you know when it is in the mail. Again, thank you.

Uh-oh!
Beth, I'm so sorry, I just double-checked the mail by date. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna make it. But I'll do my best. I had the totally wrong date in my head. Sorry. I'll see what I get done tonight but I also don't want to rush through it and send you something that I'm not happy with. I'll keep you posted.

OH-MY-GOD!!! Jill, I received your card and recipe...I'm speechless! That card has got to be the best card I've ever seen or have gotten. Are you in the biz? I showed hubby because I had to just share this one of a kind masterpiece and of course he's trying to pry the corn cob off the card amazed that it survived the mail..."LEAVE IT ALONE!!" Anyway, the colors, the pictures, the artwork on the envelope HELLO! And the recipe...thank you so much for sending a vegetable dish! I'm going to make it...not to mention the gorgeous font and paper that you used. I'm still speechless! You, my dear, are one creative, gifted gal! Love ya! PS: My recipe is better than my artwork Thank you, Jill!
