pnickols I'm sorry that I am just now posting...You already know that I love my apron-- orange plaid is great for the fall. Just wanted to let everyone else know. Glad to hear that you have your apron. I used a MJF pattern from one of her books. I must confess, I first made you a full apron then read in the christmas apron swap you liked 1/2 aprons.....so then I made you the one that you have now....oh well all ends well, Thanks again I enjoyed swapping with you, Barbara

Don't forget to laugh!

That apron is called a "clothespin" apron. The big pocket can hold all the pins while ya are outside at the clothsline. The pattern is from Europe.

Wow Carole, you almost had me in tears! I wish we could see it. Isn't it something how a plain little apron can bring back such fond memories, and now you have something to pass down too! Good job Anna! I hope to hear more tender stories as your aprons arrive!

Oh Anna -- My special apron arrived today and I cried when I took it out of the package. Not only is it so beautiful and you did a fabulous job, but it totally reminds me of my grandmother who was the favorite person in my life. She always wore this style of apron and her favorite color was pink. How did you know??? I remember so often seeing in her home fabric similar to this blue trim pattern with all the beautiful flowers. It is totally her and now I have to go grab a Kleenex 'cause I'm tearing up again. It couldn't be more perfect!!! I really can't thank you enough or express how special and precious this apron is to me. We were just meant to be swap partners on this one, weren't we? To say I love it would simply be an understatement. May you have Happy & Peaceful Fall Days ... Love, Carole

How is everyone doing with their sewing and swapping? Just a few more days to get them in the mail. If you need more time, please contact your partner and let her know. If you've already gotten your new apron, please share with us. Happy sewing!

Deborah,

Glad you like it. I got mine today and it is great. Thanks for the cookbook and doily too. I couldn't resist the potholders. The recipes were just too pretty to throw away!
