Posted - May 21 2010 : 04:34:25 AM UPDATE AND REDIRECT: A need thread has been started for the postcard swap. So you need to sign up on that thread to be part of that swap, even if you've indicated you'd like to do so on this thread. It will be much easier to track what everyone wants to do that way! Thanks for all the interest in getting to know each other.
UPDATE: I am half way there ladies! I need the following state represented in my pen pal portfolio -- please.
Here's the states I need someone from: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Lousiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming. Plus any other out of staters that would like to help me out. ----------------------------------------------------
I have this goal -- to have a pen pel from every state. Would you like to help? I just think this wuold be cool and it would certainly be my contribution to postal stimulus. I have MO, Penn., and Texas. Only 47 more to go!!! Beyond the 50 states is cool, too. Let me know if I can sign you up!
Karen

Posted - May 31 2010 : 7:44:30 PM HEY FARMGIRLS!!!
]Karen has asked me to take over the POSTCARD SWAP project so that she can concentrate on writing to all her penpals.
SO, if you are wanting to do the POSTCARD SWAP you need to go to the SEPARATE THREAD titled "50 STATES POSTCARD SWAP" and sign up there.
YOU WILL NEED TO DO TWO THINGS: - post that you want to participate - EMAIL me with your MAILING ADDRESS and EMAIL ADDRESS
The Way It Will Work: - Sign up by JUNE 10th and then I will email all of you the list and you can start sending your postcards in whatever time frame you wish to send.
- New signups will be welcome and I will email you with the new signups every month FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS ONLY.
- This will be for pretty much anyone who signs up, no matter what state or how many from a state or if we have all states represented. If we try to get too technical with this then it'll be a lot of work and not as much fun.
- Send postcards that are FROM YOUR STATE . . .I believe that is the whole idea.
If this doesn't make sense or you have other questions please email me and I'll try to answer it.CJ

Posted - May 21 2010 : 6:47:23 PM if we do one to each girl in each state maybe we could break the state list over a few months. For example there are 50 states over 3 monts would be approxematly 17 cards per month. That would give us a chance to pay needed attention to each card sent out and break up the cost a little for those who need to budget. Just a suggestion.
