If you have located your partner and haven't notified me, please do so ASAP!!!
The time has finally arrived for us to start our "Friendship Exchange" for the next year!!! This exchange will end in May of 2011 unless we decide to continue it or change partners at that time...
Let me say...if you have any questions please email me and let me know. Also please post on this from time to time and let everyone know how things are going once your exchange begins...

Let's make this a year of fun!!!
Please begin with the following!!!
Email your "New Friend" with specifics about you...your birthday, anniversary, favorite colors, hobbies, favorite seasons, likes, dislikes, things that you may collect...anything that you would like to share about yourself that would help your "New Friend" get to know you better!!!
We will begin with a package in May since many of the Farmgirls are Mother's!!! This package will be for May and June...and should include something for Mother's Day and something to celebrate the beginning of Summer...
If your "New Friend" is not a Mother...please treat her with something very special for Spring and Summer!!!
Thereafter...
July-August-Something for July 4th Holiday and celebrate the beautiful season of Summer into August
September-October-Something for Labor Day-Autumn/Fall
November-December-Someting for Thanksgiving-Christmas-Hannakuh/Winter
January-February-Something for New Years and Valentine's Day
March-April-Something for Easter and Spring
If your friend celebrates a holiday differently than you do...please be considerate of that!!!
Please make sure to send a card sometime during the month that you don't send a package.
As friends, both of you can decide together when you choose to send your packages to each other.
Also, please remember to send a card for Birthday's, Anniversaries, and all Holidays.
Share something of your family from years past, such a small note about a special occasion spent with them, an old photo that you can get copied or a favorite recipe to share with your new friend...let your new friend know about your roots and beginnings and what made you who you are today and how you came to know about Mary Jane's Farm...lets make this truly about getting to know each other as friends really do!!!
The package could include anything that you want, and doesn't always have to be a large package...just a few things to brighten someones day...
Some ideas would be gently used magazines or books that are no longer needed, a pretty pen,stationery with envelopes,stickers,bookmarkers,a pretty piece of fabric,spool of ribbon,post-it-note pads,a petite bottle of nail polish or lotion,packets of seeds,coffee mugs,candles,a pretty dishtowel,craft materials that you no longer need,a hand written recipe, pins,braclets etc. The list is endless, and due to recent swaps I can tell most of you are very creative.
We could do theme packages such as Mother's Day, Wedding, Anniversary, if a farmgirl is getting married or having an anniversary, Welcome Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter...it is endless of the ideas we can come up with!!!

Hi Staci, I received a wonderful Valentine's Day present from you today - you are so talented! I love the box you made and all the goodies you put inside of it! As I write this note I can smell the tea - it smells Divine, will try it in a few minutes :)! I needed the lipstick case, mine wore out a long time ago - thanks for somehow knowing that. Chocolate, my favorite and the candy dish is so cute - I thought maybe you painted it, but see that you didn't, but it's from NH, one of my favorite states. Buttons, oh how I love buttons, they are cute and the way they are put together is neat. Then we have the precious Valentine Pin, which I'm sure you made, will be wearing that tomorrow, it's so cute!
Thanks for the sweet card and other little "tuck-in"! You are so good to me, and I appreciate so much your thoughtfulness. I am blessed by you my friend

Staci, I opened my wonderful Christmas box from you on my Birthday! I love everything you put into it! Yummy fudge, two precious snowmen sitting around a fire to keep warm! What's going to keep them from melting???? Plus the cute little one on the box they were in! The great Santa you made, He is so cute, and the box you made to put him in, love the painted snowman. You are so talented, and many different talents too! I love the magazine, the photo's are beautiful, and the articles inspiring. The recipe cards with index, are now in my very old recipe box, and I have put some recipes in there already!
Then, my Birthday present - yea!!!!! you got me my very own MaryJane Farmgirl Sisterhood Necklace with my number on it - that is so very special, I have wanted one from the time I joined, but never did get one, now I have one proudly around my neck, because of you, my very special sister!

Hi Staci, Thanks so much for the wonderful surprise when we returned home today from CO! You always brighten my day, even when they are already "sunny"! I am wearing the earrings - love them and they go with the pin you had already given me. The calender will go in our computer "space", because I need to know what day it is - sometimes retired people get that "oops what day is it?" thought, now I'll know - LOL! The recipe sounds so good, I just might make that for my first scone project. The vintage hankie is oh so pretty, I have never seen one like that, and it's Fallish too.
I love your notes especially - you are a very special sister to me.
