Posted - Apr 07 2016 : 05:54:46 AM I have seen many of us farmgirls posting about bras and how they are not that healthy to wear. It seems the last few years, no matter what I tried, any bra regardless of price seemed like a torture device, so uncomfortable, but girls, some of my clothes NEED a bra underneath. I find most bras very hot, and get too hot for camisoles under everything. I think I might be between sizes too, because 36 seemed too big, and 34 too tight and uncomfortable.
I found these by accident, "Coobies". I was so frustrated and thought, "why not try them?" I love them! They are so comfortable that I forget I have them on, and are not as hot as a camisole. Under lower-cut things they look like a cami with lace. I thought I would pass the info on, because I sure do like mine. I have had them since February and wear them everyday. I have two white, a pink and a black. I bought them when they had a by one get one sale. I hand wash them (I take the "cups" out first) and line dry. They are holding up very well. I thought I'd pass the info on in case anyone else has been on a hunt for something different.
I think the website is shopcoobie.com

Posted - Jun 12 2022 : 08:52:51 AM Betty, I use Jockey's Forever Vit V-Neck bras and like it a lot. No wires and it provides nice support for around $38. Good luck finding what works best for you at a reasonable price!

Posted - Jun 11 2022 : 7:56:42 PM I was wondering because of that reason. I do have ruby ribbon bras and they are pricey but overall they fit really good for me and support. I thought these might be a cheaper alternative to try.

Posted - Jun 11 2022 : 4:05:39 PM I have one. The pro it is more comfortable. No binding. The con they do tend to flatten the chest because though they are not tight they don't have good support. A tube top might actually be more comfortable but it seems when you put anything on over it looks like they are just a roll on your chest. Definitely no real support. I have had mine awhile and only wear it around house under loose shirts. I don't recommend it for anyone very well endowed. One size fits all and is snug on me and I am pretty average.

Posted - Apr 16 2022 : 11:30:54 AM I have genie bras, and they look like the coobies. But boy are they tight. Are the coobies tight? I just hate that. So far I have been living in my Calvin Klein sports bra.

Posted - Mar 04 2021 : 11:17:49 AM I'm with you, Terri. Totally. I did buy the Coobies back when Nicole originally posted, and they are definitely more comfortable than the average bra; but dang I just can't get past the constricting band. I think it has a lot to do with the weight of one's endowment rather than the bra itself, to be honest. I'm ashamed to say it, but for those of you wanting an alternative while at home, I just cut up old towels, roll em up and place them up under the ta-ta's. Just enough "lift and separate," and when the hot flashes hit, they're a godsend. You can even soak em in ice water for cool relief while working in the garden. Not classy enough for the grocery store, and I sure don't tell many people about it; but when I'm at home, who cares?! Nobody knows but me! :) Hugs - Nini

Posted - May 25 2018 : 05:16:36 AM So glad to hear! Also, Kohl’s carries a new one by Olga that is similar. My daughter is large busted and she and I both love them and are comfortable, too. Still love the Coobies, as well!

Posted - Apr 05 2018 : 10:24:33 AM I just ordered two. My biggest beef with my current bras is the straps fall down and I keep having to reach in and correct it. Another is the chaffing of the under wires.

Posted - Apr 04 2018 : 12:33:59 PM Nicole, They do have a size chart but it is only small-large. They do have for fuller sizes but I don't know that a real full figured gal could wear them. I find this to be very comfortable and though I considered myself average, I am glad I bought the large in the fuller size. It is a bit different putting it on. LOL

Posted - Apr 02 2018 : 11:05:43 AM I just received mine today so haven't tried it yet. Thing only thing I can say right off is that I don't like padding in mine so those will be the first things I take out. Handy that they are removable. It does say they can be machine washed on the gentle cycle so that is a plus.
Daizy, the website is www.shopcoobie.com. I believe you can also get them at Amazon but I don't know if retailers carry them.

Posted - Mar 29 2018 : 05:29:04 AM I buy undies in April so I am going to search for these and give them a try. It gets really hot down here in the summer and I work mostly outside. A bra needs to support my girls but also be cool. I am rough on my bras and they go in the washing machine too. A girl still wants to feel pretty, right?

Posted - Mar 26 2018 : 10:54:04 PM So glad I stumbled across this topic! I have a special needs daughter who cannot do buttons, zippers, snaps much less do the hooks on a bra. All the sport bras that looked supportive enough were racerback and I don't like how the bra straps show. But I ordered one of these for her and it's working well. Thanks!

Posted - Apr 08 2016 : 6:40:36 PM I have been looking for a solution for eliminating under wire bras. So is this a one size fits all type? For us full figure ladies, not sure if it would fit. I have tried several others and nothing fits properly with out the wire. |

Posted - Apr 08 2016 : 2:14:23 PM Thank you so much Nicole. This is exactly what I was looking for. I haven't worn a bra for about a year excepting formal occasions. I am tired of digging under my shirt to pull up a strap and feeling the elastic scratching around my rib cage. I have the beginnings of sag and sweat collections there and gets really smelly. I had gotten some stretch lace camisoles but they just bunched up underneath and wouldn't stay put. This looks to be an excellent solution to all my boobie problems.

Posted - Apr 08 2016 : 08:07:03 AM Betty, no, that's why I like them. Each side has its own cup, with a little padded cup liner inside that is removable for washing. Very comfortable. I forget I am wearing it, but my clothes have shape and I don't feel exposed like going braless.
