I am really into all the "new" vintage bathing suit styles coming back! I just ordered my bathing suit from www.unique-vintage.com and I cannot wait until it comes in to see how it looks!

Anyone else into this look? We just booked our vacation to Destin, Florida and I am so excited!

LOVE this look,,,unfortunately there are those of us that because of one thing or the other cannot wear anything like that because of body shape or style..BUT....I am thinking/ wondering of the one "Celtic Woman" that has a bod like those of us that do and SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL in all her gorgeous dresses..sooooooo maybe its not the body style maybe its our outlook on who we are....LOVE YOU !!!

Heike, I have received my suit and am In LOVE with it! I feel as though it is very good quality. If you are thinking about going with a suit from this site, definately go by measurements...Not the size you would normally wear. I normally wear a 5/6, but the bathing suit I got was a size 10. It is so adorable and flattering on!

What a great site!
I am sure you received your suit by now. I would love to know how the quality is? Their stuff is cute, but sometimes redone vintage does not come with vintage quality :).

Greetings
Heike

I love the two pieces that have the undies part that goes up over the navel. My tummy has some stretchy and if that could be covered Id be golden. ;)

I don't have a swimsuit (I can't swim and I've been losing weight)--but www.modcloth.com has some retro but sexy one-piece swimsuits that I would wear.

Tracy, that is an awesome idea...think I will do that too so I can "change-up" my swimwear instead of just wearing the same suit all summer long ( though adorable!) :-) Thanks for the tip!

I love the vintage styles! What I have figured out that works for me is to buy a two piece that has a top down to my waist, ditch the bottoms and then find a pair of surfing board shorts to match and boy is that comfortable and doesn't look like an old lady! Board shorts wick water away and dry in no time. I can ride the boat in it and swim in it without worrying about my bum peeking out! Last summer I bought a deep blue top and a pair of mens blue/white/black tropical hawaiin flower print. Solid top & print shorts. Wa Lah!

Margo, embrace your body! EVERY woman has her own beauty. I personally do not think that skinny is sexy. Curves and Confidence are beautiful.

Marie, that would be nice if they had men's clothing. I got the retro red and white polka dot one :-) I love how classy women were in the fifties with the modest, but sexy styles.

There are two that I would wear. Both have a little skirt which I need because I have a boom-boom bum. Cute clothes. Too bad they don't have anything for men. DH has a body like Fred Astaire and looks so good in 40's men's suits.
