I have a new blog where I am sewing one item from my vintage pattern collection each week for the next 52 weeks.

My first dress is up and since it's too small for me I am giving it away. The pattern said size 12, but I think it's closer to an 8 or 10.

Valentine Day, the best time to purchase the beautiful dress, for a romantic night out. Before purchasing the dress always take into consideration the body type. Always buy the dress that covers your body parts that you don’t like and accentuate what you like most.

I love it!!!! I would soooo wear it! I also love how you did your sweater. Just awesome. I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but it wouldn't let me. :(

You're a very talented lady, with my same taste!

BTW. My mom and grandma both were big on sewing. Patterns were smaller back then. It's because clothes manufacturers lowered the numbers to make women "feel better", thus increasing sales.

What a great year long project! I will enjoy checking up with you. I love retro clothes. The sizing is very frustrating. Good luck!

Love the sweater. I think I want to try making one!

So cute! And just my size I love to sew, but I can't follow a pattern to save my life. I'm envious of your skills. And how creative of you to repurpose the sweater! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the projects...

She told me "everything you will ever need to know about sewing is in a pair of pajamas."

That is brilliant. I seriously think I will embroider that on a pair of pj's.

So cute. I love that dress. I will check out your blog. Sewing from vintage patterns is my favorite.

I learner to sew when I was very young from my Grandmother. My first project was pajamas. She told me "everything you will ever need to know about sewing is in a pair of pajamas."

Happy sewing.
