Any fans of Project Runway out there? I am a Thursday night devotee, since we do not have cable TV at my house I am an Internet viewer.

I LOVE IT

Don't you think it gets more interesting as the season goes on and you get to see the design process more since there are fewer designers? Tim Gunn is fantastic.

Anyone watching this season? I love Tim Gunn, I fast forward through the gossipy nonsense drama stuff, so I still enjoy the show. I sure wish they showed more design and sewing and less drama, but hey, it is a reality show.

I have been watching from the very beginning. I was very upset when Anya won but I thing she was a ringer from the very beginning. I was very glad Michelle won. Her stuff was so new - the whole Steampunk thing - that Heidi and Nina didn't even understand it. If you take a good look at what Patricia was making it is all very retro 60's. I have patterns that are very very close to what she was making that I have had since my Mom gave me her old patterns years ago. Some of them are exactly the same only without the bits of hangy fabric and hammered silver. Also, being a horsewoman and rescuer and anti-slaughter advocate I take offense to her using horse hair in her fashions. If she ordered the hair from a dealer it means that she got the hair from horses that have gone to slaughter. If she took the hair from living horses then it is tant amount to torture because she has removed their only effective tool to protect themselves from flies and other pests. Sorry but I get really angry when they use animal hair in fashion.

When I count my Blessings I count my horse twice.

I totally agree. Patricia is very creative and true to her heritage which is inspiring but her clothes are not so marketable. I'm glad Michelle won. I liked her style. Fun show.

We can do it!

Yeah Michele! I was worried about Patricia winning also.

I'm so glad that Michelle won. I thought they were going to give it to Patricia for a while. Patricia's garments were nice, but how could they ever be produced for sale? The right girl won. Stanley was so unorganized. It was astonishing.

My favorite is Michele since the beginning of the show. I love her steampunk style. Stanley designs for old ladies and Patricia has great ideas but they don't always translate to something you would wear.

This show fascinates me. It's kind of like "The Apprentice" but the winners make it through innovation and creativity, not just making money! I really liked Patricia this time and I'm glad she made it through.

I agree with you, Kristin, I like Patricia's vibe. I think the way she shows her heritage is a modern and fun way is truly inspiring. She is not like any other designer. Michele is fun and quirky in her asethetic, but it's not something we haven't seen before. I am drawn to her styling though. I would wear her stuff more than I would wear Patricia's. I think Daniel and Stanley just need to direct their stuff in a more modern way. Stanley has an upscale feel to his style but he needs to be more edgy and young. Daniel, well,,, I like him, but he seems to be lost. He needs to take some time and figure out who he is as a designer and listen to his heart and then modern up. Love this show!! I am not by any means into being fashionable myself, I follow my own vibe -- but the show is fun to watch as they figure out their path.

We can do it!

I love this show. I don't know why, because I am definetely NOT fashionable and don't really keep up with it. I just love the show. I really thought they all did good but they got it right letting Daniel go. Of the 3 left, I am liking Patricia because she brings such an organic vibe to clothing. And I love her heritage. Michele is really good too, and edgy. And I like Stanley a lot. He has some really good ideas. But that gold dress. UGH!! That was hideously disgusting and I cannot believe he even put that on the model. Poor girl. So I don't know who will win. It's always a surprise to me. But they all deserve it.

This week the last four designers will be designing for a female veteran! Should be interesting...real people, not models.

I watch the show. Some of the fashions are really innovative, but some are just ugly. I really hate the exposed zipper down the back! Wouldn't be very comfortable to sit on--ouch!
As a seamstress, I admire some of the sewing skills, but some of the designers aren't very good at clothing construction. Dimetri, last season, was the best. I do want to go to New York and shop for fabric, but I don't think I could afford $150. a yard. LOL. Fun to watch, though.

My DH hates it too! Too bad, I don't care for his shows either! Not so impressed with the All-Stars this time. Love the old seasons re-runs.

My daughters and I try to catch it. We love when there's a marathon day of older seasons.

My hubby can't stand it. lol

Oh, Diane! I hadn't seen the last episode yet...facepalm. That's ok, I'll watch it anyway. I liked Dmitry a lot also. The other finalists all seemed sort of the same and he really stood out.

This is the first season I've watched. Been hearing about it for years, but I don't have cable and wasn't aware of it online. I joined the ymca over the winter, and now I go every Thursday night. I've been watching one week behind because they show the reruns from 8-9 before the newest episode.

Yeah! My favorite designer Dmitry won! He is very talented and a true craftsman.
Anyone watching the Project Runway Allstars next Thursday?

I love project runway. I will admit, I was very mad that Anja won last year, they were two seam tunics, nothing that required sewing ability. A friend of mine made it to finals for selection for season 10 and said that they asked her loads of questions about sewing zippers in and closures. I think they had alot of problems with season 9 because most of the people sewed the dresses onto the models.

I can't watch it while it is on I have to DVR it, that way I can fast forward through workroom drama
