There has to a way to get Highlights without the hrash chems. I have heard of lemons and other things can someone help me out my color is in between med and dark brown hair.

I used to use lemon juice with no problem - my hair naturally gets blond highlights in the sunshine, though. It will lighten your hair if you rinse with it or spray it in. I have a friend who would apply it in streaks with cotton balls and her hair did get neat lighter streaks too. I believe the more lemon you use, the lighter will become over time. I only used it at the beginning of summer, though, because my hair would lighten on its own the more I was outside. I started dying my hair a lighter red shade last year, so I'm not going to use the lemon until I see what happens naturally in the sun. I'm worried it will turn orange - wouldn't that be something! LOL! So far, my hair is just turning blonder, though - like a strawberry blonde. My hair is like a mood ring - constantly changing depending upon its own mood! LOL!
