i hope this hasn't been posted to death- my viewing time today is short but i need some ideas! i'm short too, and a teeny -well- chubby--i'm in 14's and 16's but petite- so many things don' t always look good on me that do on someone more slender and tall...
ok- my denim jacket is a man's jacket and i would love a frilly-er girlie type---i am not into sewing it myself this month- would love it for an upcoming trip and wonder where i could maybe find one? haven't had any success at the gagillion thrift stores nearby....
ideas??? thx and a hug for good measure!!!

Margo, May have something in my closet, I will look tonight. It has style but is for a shorter person-waist is too short for me. I'll see if I can a pic and do some measurements. I'll have my daughter check also, she has about 10 denim jackets and we both talked about parring down our wardrobe.
Will send you an email if I think it might be what your looking for.

Posted - Sep 30 2010 : 11:38:10 AM thank you everybody! my own denim jacket is, as i said, manly and has a leather collar-i think it was a Marlboro cig giveaway or something with upc's.....
i really don't want to just add lace- i am looking for the smaller "cut" -maybe princess seaming?---as well like kathy may have.....or C & B-never gave them a thought!!!
will wait to see, kathy!

Posted - Sep 30 2010 : 10:47:57 AM If you're looking to buy one, it seems that Christopher & Banks always has that style of jacket, often in colors. Maybe a colored one? They always seem to have sale stuff in the back, maybe you could find something affordable? |

Posted - Sep 30 2010 : 09:02:56 AM You can add lace ( or another lovely fabric) to the collar and cuffs, and if there is a pocket ad a bit of lace/fabric there too. Sew on pretty buttons, add a handmade flower pin....I did this (the lace) to my denim jacket to pimp it a bit and everybody loves it
Hugs from Marian/Dutchy, a farmgirl from the Netherlands :)
