Okay, girls, I finally decided (after much hemming and hawing) to put my merit badges on a denim jacket. My mom mailed me a jacket to use, so it is even more sentimental. I put my Sisterhood badge on the front and so far have finished four to put on the back. I had trouble with the sewing on part, finally figured out that the denim is a stretch denim, which made it hard for me. Earning badges has been so fun for me, and given me such a sense of accomplishment. Anyway, what do y'all think? Be honest. Do they look okay? I figure if I run out of room, then I will do a tote bag.

Thanks so much! I mended the one on the right a bit, didn't realize some stitches came out...so it looks better. And I've finished a few more badges and it looks cuter and cuter! I've got more badges to apply for, but am waiting so I can get caught up on the embroidery. Y'all post your pictures here, too! :)

Love it! That's pretty much what I want to do with my badges as well, but I am much older and my jacket bigger so I won't run out of space as quick lol

MJ, I wonder if your charm idea is like the one I have been contemplating for a bracelet....there are easy peasy ways to make charms from the badge pdfs for sure :)

I love it! I'm doing something similar with a denim vest so that I can wear it even in the muggy summer days.

CA-Ute, Adorable, Mauv-a-lous Nicole. Big round of CLUCKING from Idaho!!!!

Denali and I have been working on a new approach to badges to compliment your jacket. Stay tuned for DIY charm (merit badge) necklaces! I'll debut mine in MN next week at www.thecreativeconnectionevent.com. Meg will "try" to load a video taken there of our unveiled necklace. I'll be sure to send you a link, Nicole.

Afterwards, once we get back home and get unpacked, we'll get a tutorial up on our website.
