What do you think of the way our daughters are wearing boots with their shorts? I was wondering if I am too old for that. Would it look rediculous?

I love shorts and boots, either my cowboy boots or mucking boots! I tried to do a "quick run" to the store in our small town this summer and ran out wearing a big, comfy, flowery skirt and my mucking boots! Needless to say...I'm still hearing about it! LOL

Lately its been shorts or capris w/my workboots or snake boots. I don't much care what other people think either. I'm into what ever I'm comfortable and practible footwear. I got some 5 fingered shoes this year and people say they are so ugly.... oh my gosh are they comfortable- just like going barefoot but you don't feel the rocks etc. when walking. I've realized most women at my work like "pretty shoes"..... and are usually sporting bandaids on their heels and toes from those not so comfortable shoes. Bah to the pretty shoes..... they are over rated.

I wear my boots with everything! Shorts, skirts, dresses. It's all about feeling good and my boots make me feel good!

I got use to shorts and short skirts with boots when my youngest daughter was little. A friend of mine bought her a pair of purple/glitter jelly doc martin boots with bright pink laces. She wore them everywhere and with everything for a couple of years. She has tiny feet and can still wear little girls shoes. Anyway, they were so cute and looked so cute with everything. Guess I just got use to them. I love boots and skirts and boots and shorts. I wear Justin Gypsy's with just about everything.

imho...i think you can pair boots with just about anything. i wear both cowboy and combat boots with skirt and shorts all the time. it's a little quirky, but if you have the personality to pull it off, go for it! fashion like life is about varriety.

I really think the look of cowboy boots and shorts is cute. My daughter wears it all the time. I like them with the shorter skirts too. I say go for it, I do.

Now, I can understand work boots, muck boots, or fashion boots even, but around here I have seen young gals wearing ugg boots in 90 degree weather. I am all about doing as you please as long as you hurt no one, but I just cannot fathom wearing warm winter boots in the heat as a fashion statement LOL.

I wear shorts & boots all the time-does it make a difference if they are muck boots? If it is in style why not!
