Get the hankering to ditch the daily duds and get a bit girlied up?? Boyfriend is out of town, so I've gone two days with no make-up...hair in a ponytail...jeans and sweatshirt...and this evening I snapped, lol. I went to my closet and wanted to jazz up a bit (after a nice bubble bath and a cup of tea)...and ended up WAY overdressing! Ya know...all dressed up, no place to go...

Vintage designer lace blouse under a classy brown corset top...lipstick...pearls...*sigh*

What's your favorite DRESSY OUFIT??

I use to go all out and dress to the nine's on the weekend when I was in my 20's, but I haven't done this any in the last 5 years. I've been busy raising my 2 boys by myself and I hate to admit it but I've started to slip and let myself go a little. I take very good care of my hair and skin but the way I dress is more comfortable and less stylish. The fact that I've gained weight hasn't helped matters much, but I'm currently working on taking care of this and then perhaps it will make me want to get dolled up again.

Sandra, I noticed you're from New Meadows...isn't that somewhere between Cascade and Emmett ish?? Or am I way off the mark? I grew up in Emmett, and New Meadows sounds familiar...I'm sure we've driven through once upon a time...

Woohoo! Yall are women after my own heart. I am pretty much home all the time except for Saturdays when Hubby is off of work, or Sundays. I pretty much t-shirt and jeans it. hehe--the hairbrush is around here somewhere.
Every once in a while I can't help myself and drag out the makeup case (yes, it is more like a small suitcase!)and get doodied up. I dont really "dress up" as once I quit working, they kinda lost their appeal. But, I do put on my pretty blouses or dresses and heels. I am really tall, but my weakness is really high heels!!:)
hugs

Great topic btw! :D

Being a SAHM I don't get to dress up and go out very often. When I do I prefer to wear short dresses and heels. My husband loves my hair long and curled and red lipstick!

Blessings!

ok- don't laugh now- I love tall boots- with a 2- 3 1/2 inch heel- black, brown, or red- leather or suede- with dresses, skirts, or jeans- doesn't matter- and I have this red dress from Vick's Secrets that is a bombshell of a dress- so the dress with my boots- oh yeah babe!

I hate to admit it but I don't get dressed up much at all. For both jobs I just wear jeans and simple tops. And to tell the truth I'm just an overgrown tomboy. For Mom's funeral last week I had to go buy some dressier outfits, but now I have them for special times and church. I have been wanting to get more 'girliefied' though. I've been looking at some nice accessories like scarves and such to dress myself up a bit. I always wear my makeup though, except on days I'm staying home all day but that's not often.
