If you need food grade plastic buckets go to you're nearby bakery or donut shop and ask. We're maple syruping for the first time. This is where we're getting storage buckets.

I'm going to try to tap our trees this next season so thanks for the tip on the buckets!

Sap has started running. Got more taps set today. Coming slow right now. Can't wait.

Sometimes the bakery sections in the large food chain stores will give them to you too if you ask for them...they just throw them away.

We sometimes get them from the Bakery at our Wal-Mart. Unfortunately they do charge about $1.50 per bucket with lid, but it is still cheaper than buying new :)

You will have to let us know how the Maple Syruping goes Lorena. I can only imagine how wonderful it must smell :)
