Use a band held can opener to crack nuts. It's got to he the one with wider handles. I also used my veggie steamer basket to reheat a piece of pot roast and left over boiled whole potatoes. Good to keep in mind if you don't have a microwave.

Update ...I have a large steamer pan that works like a double boiler. I reheated leftover meatloaf in it. It works wonderfully as I don't have a microwave.
