Posted - Feb 11 2013 : 08:31:24 AM Cute! When i was young, my mom, sister and I cut up hundreds of those white styrofoam trays that meat came on and made a Christmas tree garland. After I married, I made one myself. Always has been one of my favorite garlands.

Posted - Feb 01 2013 : 05:02:37 AM I put an update on my S.C.R.A.P. blog about the necklace. It needs to have the rotation of egg carton punches all the way around, with only an inch or less of the seed beads at each end. The weight of the beads kept making the necklace turn upside down on my dd. We plan to make bracelets too.

Posted - Jan 13 2013 : 10:11:41 AM Thanks! My grandmother was so resourceful. I wish I paid more attention her work when I was younger.
This project has been on my to-do list for over a year now. I am just glad to be able to share it now. We are playing around with different colors too.

Posted - Jan 13 2013 : 08:06:04 AM I love it! Sharing your memories with your grandmother touched my heart....what a special heritage.
I am a former elem. school teacher and I used egg cartons for tons of projects with my classes. But, I never did this one! It's definitely a craft for farmgirls.
Thank you for sharing!
