I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I find many uses for recycled toothbrushes. They are great to use when cleaning grout, along with BarKeepers Friend cleanser. Also good for scrubbing rings in the toilet. They are the perfect size for cleaning in and around sliding glass shower doors, too.

Just want to add that I recently read the best thing to tease hair with is a CLEAN toothbrush. Evidently the soft bristles won't damage the hair. This isn't a thrifty tip, just a beauty tip!

They also work great for cleaning rubber stamps and paint brushes!

I use them to clean flowerpots and to clean my sneakers. Joey

Karen, I use our old toothbrushes for the same areas you mentioned. My Sweety (Husband) uses them in his outside shop.

I use them for cleaning around backsplashes at my sinks, around faucets and around the sinks . . they are great!
For creative uses I use one for "splatter" paint on some of my projects and they can make a fun texture on pained items to just use the brush to swirl, dab or whatever.
I also use them . . with toothpaste. . . to scrub silver jewelry.
