Posted - May 23 2011 : 1:19:54 PM I'm cleaning up the kitchen and going through my cupboards, and I have tons of mateless butter knives that don't match any tableware sets I have. I'd like to make them into something else so I dont have to toss them, or worse, let them clutter my silverware drawer. I have a couple real silver, but most are stainless.
If you've seen any crafts done with old silverware please let me know!

Posted - May 29 2011 : 12:53:41 PM I've seen hooks made out of old silverware. Drill a hole through the handle - then curve the knife part up. The one I saw curled the tip of the knife back down a bit and curled it under. Very cute.

Posted - May 24 2011 : 10:25:27 AM I also have made both the chimes and plant markers. I have a small set of metal stamps (hammer the stamp to set letters) and use them for marking this way, have fun!

Posted - May 23 2011 : 7:13:49 PM I've made windchimes with the butter knives along with spoons and forks hanging from a metal cup. Sounds so nice when the wind start blowing them.
