Posted - Dec 29 2010 : 07:59:02 AM I've been very busy and creating fun ways to recycle Christmas cards. I have them on our family SCRAP blog (listed below). I don't make any money on this blog, it's just easier to share the photos this way. My goal is to open a SCRAP store. Anyway, I will be adding another ornament idea later after my camera charges. Just wanted to share with you.

Posted - Jan 26 2011 : 10:11:25 AM I use the pretty, top part of the card (so long as there is no writing on the flip side of it) as tags for gifts and gift bags. It makes the gift look a lot jazzed up and decorated! Everyone loved my "tags" this past year!

I am really pleased with this solution to two of my storage needs. So I offer this as an addition to your fine list of things to (re)do with christmas cards. Cheers, Karen

Posted - Jan 04 2011 : 11:28:34 PM My Dad use to buy handmade Christmas tags made from cardstock and old Christmas cards... made by handicapped kids.. we loved them so much as children that I have started the tradition with my group of special needs homeschoolers group, we are always taking donations of old Christmas cards to make more tags to sell for the kids to have the experience of making a little of their own money. We will be making these all year long for next holiday season. It is so touching to see these kids proud of what they create! |

Posted - Dec 29 2010 : 2:20:38 PM Thanks for the great ideas. I really like the Christmas card tree ornament. My Windy Pines cousin, Michele, uses Christmas cards for gift tags. She cuts them out with crinkle cut scissors in oval, circle, or rectangle shapes.
