Posted - Jun 30 2010 : 9:37:36 PM Okay girls, I have a stack of hay twine, in orange, green and natural. Help me think of good crafty ways to use it. I always keep some around for the odd fix up, staking plants etc, even made a couple of haynets out of it, thinking about crocheting some cute doormats but what else?

Posted - Jul 05 2010 : 06:10:49 AM Why not weave a ground cloth with all of the different colors? You will have an instant place to sit for your picnic lunch, keep one in your truck or car. . nothing worse than having to lay on the muddy ground if your working on your vehicle. . . well you get the idea Best of all, you can hose it off and hang it up to dry!

Posted - Jul 02 2010 : 10:02:43 AM There was that recent MJF mag on using twine...they crocheted it into a bag. SO CUTE. I am thinking about saving baling twine for this!!!

Posted - Jul 01 2010 : 11:52:33 AM Great ideas! I am determined not to throw any away or waste any. Maybe I can use some of that rusty barbed wire I pulled out last fall with the wreath idea....hmmm.

Posted - Jul 01 2010 : 05:06:51 AM Make a wreath! I saw one on tipnut and it was adorable. Buy or better yet make a wire wreath frame or just a circle and tie smallish (I'm guessing about 4 inches) pieces around it. Pack 'em tightly and they'll make a bushy little wreath. With the colors you have you'll have an awesome fall decoration in no time. If you make a bunch in decreasing sizes you can stack them on top of each other to make little Christmas trees.
