that i told my husband today "on our next grocery shopping trip i need to buy some cottage cheese or sour cream... i'm getting low on the containers and need some more." i don't even know how to replace those handy containers when i run out! i'm not going to buy tupperware or things of that sort to store my stuff in the freezer. what are other similar sized containers that i might find in thrift stores or something? what in the world am i going to do when i get myself a cow and start making my own cottage cheese and sour cream?!

That sounds like me. I save everything. I even reuse the baggies over and over. I don't buy much so those containers get reused many times. But that's a good idea to let others know you are in need of them. You will get tons then.

LOL!! I know how you feel! My remedy, after I froze something in one of those containers, I took it out and then wrapped it up in freezer paper.
Remember to Label what the contents are so when it is thawed you will remember to place it in a bowl Now I always have enough containers on hand.

That's funny Elizabeth - my grandma saved everything, including those. Grandma and Grandpa's boiler burst once while they were on a camping trip so we had to clean out their basement - there were literally thousands of cottage cheese containers in her basement.

When you start making your cottage cheese and sour cream, just let the farmgirls know. We could send you those containers. I save them and have lots extra!
