Our local library has a book sale once a month, so I went last Saturday. Books are usually $.50 or $1.00 each. But, this month they were having a special sale - fill an entire big brown grocery bag of books for only $4.00 per bag!!! Of course, I had to fill one and bring it home for winter reading - yippee!!!!!!!!!!

After I read them I return them to the library for their next sale - nothing like recycling!!!

Next to fabric - books are my second passion. I always go to second hand stores, garge sales, library. I always go to Borders and have gotten some super deals, from $1 - $4.00 hardback books. We have a chain of stores in our area - Pamida, I have gotten some good deals on books there also. I love it when I come home with a handful of books. My library keeps growing. My granddaughter loves books also. When she spends the day with us. She will get her pile of books so that Grandpa can read to her. Oh can you tell I love books!!!

I wish our library did that! They do try to make things fun for us teens though, so I guess their good there. Does anyone else on the forum love Half Price Books as much as I do? One time I went there and got 5 books for under $15. I love getting books at reduced prices!

There is nothing better that a big bag of books just waiting to be explored.

I love library sales! Alas, it's hard to find good reading books. COOKBOOKS, however, are another story! I love perusing the vintage ones to see if there are any good ones. And library sales are so cheap!

ohhhhh, how wonderful. I still have a few spaces left on the new shelves. Books are the best. Good for you.
