My SIL was in Europe and she told me she went to a gardening class and that they used the toliet paper rolls cut in half and on the end they cut slits and folded the ends closed. They filled the "cup" with dirt and put seeds in for the gardens. When the seeds grew they planted the whole thing and the gardens were beautiful. This is another cool recycle reuse for the garden that helps the soil. You can cut a paper towel holder into several of them. I have given up paper towel, but I can not go the route of giving up my people paper.

I have a yarn winder and I save TP rolls to roll my yarn into balls. It keep them a little neater, I think :} Plus you can store the original label in the tube.

Wow good ideas. we usually just burn them in the woodstove. I really like the garden one and the keeping ribbon and such on them... cool.

I use toilet paper rolls in my sewing room....whenever I have leftover binding or fabric that I've cut into strips, I roll it around the empty toilet paper rolls and pin the end so that it doesn't unravel; then when I need to bind a quilt in a hurry all I have to do is unroll the fabric...no ironing, doesn't take up much space....works the same with lace too...also ribbon...great for yardsale finds when you can cash in on clearance items.....
