I love that idea! I also have seen since I cross-stitch, the cross stitch design in the window pane area of the windows as well! They are pretty that way.

I have seen shadow box tables made from old windows....they are really neat..You can use them to hold any kind of memories you would like displayed and can be changed with the seasons....think grandmas pins, hankies,thimbles,vintage pictures of your heritage...baseball stuff..books ...buttons n such..Just imagine...have fun...Blessings

What a great idea!!! One of our secretaries at work has a large painted window frame behind her desk. Her FL painted a wintery house scene...I suggested she find 3 more and get him to do a series for her! I really love your idea. I've been looking for ways to get more family photos into the house and I think I'll keep my eye open for a frame.
