What do you think Lori (crafter)? If it's up your alley it will come with a couple bars of Pink Bars of soap for your next batch of homemade laudry soap.
Your Friend, Melody June

I had this old milk bottle metal box that I was wondering what it could be now that we don't have milkmen. I also had a really cute vintage decal with pink, black and gold chickens. My mind started working after seeing MaryJane in CA's blog on making homemade soap. So today armed with soap, water and spray paint a new creation was born. LOL Does it look like a cool soap box?

So cute!!! I'm just using a recycling tub from an office supply store for my soap not - yours is WAY cuter!!! I'll have to keep my eye open for a box like that - I would never have guessed that it could look so cute!

Have to start looking around. Wonder would it work on a milkcan.
I have one I painted and it needs repainting soon.
Hmmm.......?

Another wonderful creation! By the way, I took your advice, and turned my rolling pin into a wall hanging to hang my aprons on. I would post a pic, but I don't know how

Make sure you post a picture Robin so we can see it. These boxes are so nice I'd hate to see anyone through them away. Glad you rescued it.

Thats awesome. I just rescued an old milkbox from the neighbors....umm...trash. I want to paint it a nice apple green color and decoupage some Hawaaian hula girls pictures on it from an old calender.

Oh my goodness, you just gave me a great idea. I have been looking for a large tin for my rice. I have a popcorn tin I can paint add a decal and a handle to get the lid off easier. I was wondering what to do with that big tin, just to good to get rid of.
Thanks for the idea.

I was just thinking it's way too pretty to put in my laundry room the way it looks now. I probably coundn't find it. It's a mess in there. I did take 3 boxes of canning jars out to the milk room today! I was so proud of myself. It's a start anyway. There's too much that needs done in that room to help it. But I really do like that box. I just put my home made soap in an old pop corn tin.

I got the box a long time ago with glass mike bottles in it. I use the bottles for my fresh cow milk. I just did not know what to do with the box till now. I did not think about it NOT matching my laundry room!! LOL I should have done it white and used the strawberry decals, my laundry room is white and red. Well to late now. Maybe I'll sell it to you Kristin and you can post pictures of you re-decorating your laundry room to match it!! LOL

That is so cute! What a great job you did. And the pink soap will look so pretty in there. I want one now. Where did you get the box? I'd have to make over my whole laundry room for something like that. Too cute.
