Here's something I did using an old picture frame - any size will do, glass out just the wood. On the back staple or whatever you want to use to secure chicken wire fencing to it.

Here's where the idea came from and how I started using it! Every morning my husband leaves me a note...so the one in our bathroom that I made is a small frame that I first attached a card (greeting card from our anniversary actually) then put the chicken wire over that and put a small clothespin on the front so he could post his notes on there! Then...I decided I needed a bigger one so I found a big old frame at the thrift store and just put chicken wire on with clothespins that hold various notes, kids schedules, calender etc.

Something fun to try if you have some frames and chicken wire laying around!

My grandmother did something like this, except she left the glass in, frosted it and painted a chick on the outside glass side and stapled the chicken wire to the wood and then put a cardboard back on it all. It looks like you are looking at a chick inside a coop pen!
