I was looking around today for something to keep me busy while three of the Grand Daughters were here. Not allowed to sit down you know. So I was looking at these beautiful old boxes of wrapping paper and writing paper. So came up with this idea to start with. Came out pretty cute.
Do you remember when you used to buy wrapping paper and it came in a pretty box? I had forgot about that until I saw a few boxes at the thrift and proceded to whip them into my cart. The boxes themselves are worth the purchase. Anyway, now I'm thinking of the the things I could make with these pretty papers. Another way to make use of the things we have rather then buy new. I think I paid .49 cents at the thrift last year. So Now I will be more careful to save wrapping paper in the future.

I have used some of the paper in card and scrapbooking crafts. I think I used a piece as a background in a picture frame. But I still have the pretty boxes and paper down in my craft room. Funny to see this old post that you found. That was two years ago. yippes!

you posted this in 2009, and I wondered what you did with the boxes and paper?
