I make dish scrubbers from old red plastic mesh potato bags.
I tear off the labels, cut away the serged seams, fold all the edges to the center till it's the desired size and then zig-zag- around the outside edge two or three times and VOILA! These things last for months and if they start to smell funky, I just toss them in the washing machine with the towels....I've been using these for years!
