Add 2 tennis balls works like those rubber ones you buy

Use a safety pin on the inside of one of your garmets I haven't tied it but let me know

They are cheap and a one time buy till they wear out of course but dollar stores have them.
Try it works great!
I just finished laundry with them and no static here just got to put up with the noise they make but you get used to it

I started the vinegar as a softener but it's not getting rid of static. I hate getting zapped! Worse than that, I hate it when my pants cling to my hose or pant socks at work! That whole tennis ball thing intrigues me.....

i think it is bcause the clothes are not rubbing against each other causing friction thus static cling

ok....I've got to ask, what makes the tennis ball work? I've heard of this before. Just wondering...

check out the thread just posted by Alee with MaryJane Butters' article on homemade laundry soap - she talks about homemade dryer sheets in it.

sorry, it's not a separate thread...

No you don't need to treat them. People have used this idea for a long time. Hence came the dryer balls in stores. It also cuts on drying time.

Vinegar is a deodorizer and stain remover maids have been using vinegar also for years. But if you think it is working for static that's ok.

I don't have static in my dryer. I believe it is because I use vinegar in the rinse water when I wash clothes.

Tennis balls eliminate static? You don't have to treat them with something first?
