Posted - Feb 17 2009 : 7:26:11 PM I use the sheet set size to store my horse's polo wraps and quilts. The small size I pack with first aid stuff to take with me either in the truck or my saddle bags. |

Posted - Feb 12 2009 : 10:16:03 AM I use the bigger comforter type bags to store the renegade sleeping bags in that refuse to stay rolled up. The smaller bags I use for quilting projects to keep things organized. D

Posted - Feb 09 2009 : 09:36:34 AM I use the small zippered or snap bags from various items to seperate and organize all of the baby supplies in one drawer. All of the free samples in one and medicines in another and droppers and clippers and such in another. The larger ones I use for storing blankets or storing christmas garlands. The are also good for storing horse blankets in your tack box. Especially fleece coolers and saddle pads. They always tend to collect hay bits in the fleece. Keeping them in the bags keeps them clean. They sell blankets storage cases for outrageous amounts of money but this is so much better because they are see though. I hope these ideas are helpful. oh yeah the small bags are helpful to keep small packets of sauce and mixes contained in your pantry.

Posted - Feb 01 2009 : 07:11:26 AM I use the large ones for storing clothes, if I have no use for the smaller ones I rip out the zipper and use it when I make my small purse and make up bags. They're wonderful!

Posted - Jan 27 2009 : 8:30:02 PM Well, if you can't find a use from zippered bags please donate them to your local thrift store. I volunteer at one and we can always use them for linens, towels, fabric (large pieces) and more. Thanks

Posted - Jan 25 2009 : 3:55:18 PM Debbie--what a great idea. It would save me so much time if I didn't have to untangle my yarn while I was crocheting and things. How funny, that I never thought of that before. So creative!! hugs

Posted - Jan 25 2009 : 2:57:37 PM E-Gads, I've got to run and see what I did with mine. I had 3 that kept falling off the closet shelf and was always on the closet floor. Just the other day, I was trying to figure out what I could use them for. NOW you girls come up with such neat Ideas. I surely didn't throw them away. |

Posted - Jan 25 2009 : 10:45:13 AM I use them when sending packages to my daughter. I put whatever it happens to be in the bag zip it shut then into the shipping box, that way I know that her goodies will not be damaged if the package happens to get wet. Hugs, Kathy |

Posted - Jan 24 2009 : 09:28:03 AM Use them to store wet things from camping or the beach in on the way home. Also, while camping or at the beach, it can be used to keep things dry...depends on the situation.

Posted - Jan 24 2009 : 12:54:52 AM Reading this thread I thought of a great "green" thing to do with the bags, I haven't done this yet as I just thought of it. Make 'COLD' bags for taking home frozen food from the grocery in the summer. I have a couple of very large ones commercially made that I use, but they are too heavy when loaded up. Yup, I have a new project now!! You guys are great for making me more creative!! I love you guys!! Cindy

Posted - Jan 23 2009 : 10:17:54 AM I put a big ball of twine in one and only zipped it far enough closed to allow the twine to pull out the hole. Since I keep this twine in our animal house, it stays clean of hay dust and road dust.

Posted - Jan 22 2009 : 11:17:13 AM I save mine for storing linens and also fabric stacks. When I would get a sheet set, I'd wash the set and put it back in and label the end "twin" or "queen" like that. Then I'd stack them in the linen closet. When the kids went to change their sheets, they knew which ones to take (and so did DH!). I also use them for storing the blankets and comforters in the off-season to protect from dust and, now, mice.

Posted - Jan 21 2009 : 2:29:02 PM I love mine for storing yarn. I also have some that I store comforters that are not in use they keep mice & other little critters from destroying them! I wonder if they would work in the chest freezer for storing like kinds of meats? We have lots of meat in the freezer wrapped in that white butcher's paper. I think I'll have to try putting beef in one bag and marking the front, pork in another, etc. Oooo boy I just love feeling super organized :D
