I've been following Frannie's amazing journal from her African adventure.
At the hospital where I work, several Nurses are from Africa, & I have shown them the posts & photos from Frannie. Let me tell you, their comments & own stories were fascinating. In thinking of all of this, I was reminded of a great book I once read, & would like to suggest to you all. It is called THE POISONWOOD BIBLE, by Barbara Kingsolver. It is very well written, & since the author lived in Africa, she "knows whereof she speaks." Warning: once you start reading, you won't put it down!

I've read that too...and I love Barbara Kingsolver's books.
