Hey girls. I was thinking about putting together a crafting Zine and I am looking for some submissions. I'd like to do the following things with my Zine:

1. Connect crafters with places to sell their work
2. Connect crafters with others who enjoy thier craft
3. Give tutorials about different crafts
4. Give Household tips
5. gardening tips
6. Book reviews
7. Product reviews
8. ETC....

I plan to do a bi-monthly thing with my first issue coming out in march. My first issue will be Availabe in a DIGITAL copy only (word document) and will be free to anyone on this site. My Second issue (MAY) will be available through my etsy site in either a digital file or a print version for a small fee to cover copies and time spent.

My first issue topic will be "NEW BEGINNINGS" and I am looking for stuff about how you got started crafting/gardening/farming etc., how you came about starting your own business etc. If you would like to submit any projects for this issue lets try to stick to some stuff that would be easy for a "beginner".

If you are interested you can post here or you can email me
directily.

I need help with the name of my Zine! If I choose your name I will send you a PRIZE!!!!

Jewelry, art, baskets, etc.

No pressure at all. Usually the first thing parents say to me when we meet is, "I was horrible in English and my writing is terrible!" They are afraid to write to me for fear of the dreaded RED pen. I rarely use red; I prefer green. :)

Anyway, I am excited to work with you and you have no worries with me being a perfectionist. My goal is to help you make the best product possible, that's it. You be creative and I will do the mundane stuff.

I have to say that this is very good for me. Having been a writer and editor in the past, I miss that part of my career and this will be just what I needed to stay fresh.

If you need anything, let me know.

UH OH! Now the pressure is on! I can't promise I'll be much better than 7th graders but I do know that a lot is TWO words!

Julie: After grading some of my 7th graders essays tonight, I am excited beyond belief to work with an adult! :) I usually put a little checkmark on each line that has an error in spelling, grammar, mechanics, etc. and on most papers, I was putting a check on EVERY line. Time to take the little rascals back to the drawing board again. Kids just don't read much anymore unless I force them, and it is truly showing in this generation's writing. And if I see the word ALOT written as one word one more time, I will put myself half way out the classroom window and slam it.

All kidding aside, it will be fun to work with you.

Yes! And I need to announce that Sheryl-lyn will be joining the "TEAM" and will be offering her editing services! I am so excited! I worked on it for about 2 hours last night. Once I get this first issue done the rest should be MUCH easier. The setup issues are a lot more difficult than I imagined! But I am plugging along and I still think I will make may selfimposed deadline of March 15th!

Here are a couple of ideas I came up with. 1. The Heartfelt Harvest... (or maybe Harvest of the Heart); 2. Farmgirl Gleanings; 3. The Art & Craft of Living; and my favorite 4. Hearth & Hand...."creative ways to feed (nourish) body and soul". Maybe I can think again tomorrow....it's bedtime here so the brain is lagging a bit. Nance

I am pluggin along. The set up and formatting is quite a prroject. Once that gets done the second issue should come more easily. I am hoping to be done around March 1 bt I also have a lot of other stuff going on. I'm still looking for a name! Any suggestions? Might be a PRIZE if I choose the name you suggest!
