For those of you who like Tasha Tudor's work, you might enjoy my blog, Visits to Corgi Cottage, about my memories of visiting Tasha's home. She illustrated my first book and I live a life similar to hers. The address for the blog is:

How exciting, Winnie, that you could visit Tasha's home and enjoy her lovely gardens. Because folks have asked me how I met Tasha, I posted a new memory in Visits to Corgi Cottage. Have a blessed Christmas

Hi Joan, Welcome to the MJF connection. I love finding another Farmgirl who loves Tasha Tudor! This past fall, I had the delight to visit the small Tasha Tudor museum in Vermont and purchase the video copy of what they play in the museum. She was an amazing woman of many talents and I have enjoyed her art and books for decades. What an honor that she illustrated your book, The Real Pretend, too! Your blog is beautiful and thank-you for posting such a beautiful tribute to her love of birds!

Oh Joan! I have every Tasha book there is. I adore her, and was sorry to hear of her passing, but know she lived a full, wonderful life. When I look at any of her books, I feel such a sense of calm and longing for all that is Tasha!
I have Nubian goats, so Tasha would approve!
No Corgis, although that is on my list!

Thank you, True Blue Farmgirl, Nini, and I am sorry that you weren't able to purchase one of those tickets. Hopefully the next time you drive through New England, you will be able to visit Tasha's home. She illustrated my book, The Real Pretend, and encouraged me to continue writing books. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Joan

Welcome, Joan! I am so happy you're here! Your blog is wonderful - thank you so much for sharing! When we were in New England this past summer, I wanted to visit Tasha's home in Vermont; but, of course, tickets were sold out way in advance. What a wonderful place, though! What a wonderful lifestyle! I will definitely look forward to reading more of your blog posts! Hugs - Nini
