On Sunday December 29th 2013 a Christmas Special will air. Check local listings. The 2014 series will resume on Sunday March 30th through May 18th 2014.

Yes!! My husband and I both love this series. We rented the first season and saw most of the last season. We plan to get caught up before the 2014 new season begins.

Hi Jamie :-) No I haven't read the memoirs. But I bet they're good.
I agree this show doesn't get the attention as others :-(
Another show I watch on the CW ~ Reign, didn't get rave reviews from critics but it's starting to take off, never the less ....

Yay!!! Thanks for posting this, Madeline! This is such good news! I love Call the Midwife, and think it's a real shame it doesn't get the attention other British shows get. *cough* Downton Abbey *cough*
Has anyone read the memoirs on which the show is based?
