I just finished the what's your beef badge. I learned a lot about the history of humans and cows through the book that was recommended. Beef: The Untold Story was a little dry for me for the first hundred pages but the last part I found very interesting. As a veterinarian I loved reading about how men figured out which breeds were best for milking and which were best for eating. The last few chapters were about where the Thor thinks the industry should go rather than depleting resources and housing cattle on feed lots how much better the environment and the cows would be on smaller grass fed farms. I feel the book was well written and understanding how cows contributed to so many societies in so many different ways was very interesting.

Also if anyone would like to read this book or work toward the badge I would send my copy on to a new home.

Emily,
I would love to have the book next. Would you like something in return?
